Global, Arquitectura Paisagista. (Gap)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Global\u00a0<\/em>was founded in 1997 in Lisbon, Portugal by Jo\u00e3o Gomes da Silva and In\u00eas Norton. Its subject is the investigation and development of concepts that arise from the ecological, social and economic transformations in the Global Landscape. It is composed by a group of landscape architects and architects and regularly collaborates with leading\u00a0landscape architects, architects, engineers, designers and artists, constituting a strongly personalized and professionalized structure integrated in an interdisciplinary dynamic network.\u00a0For its contribution in\u00a0the field of landscape architecture,\u00a0the firm has received many international award recognitions.\u00a0In more than\u00a020 years of experience\u00a0Global<\/em> has has continually been recognized acquiring a\u00a0form of working strongly tied to the context.<\/p>\n

Global<\/em>\u00a0works both in the private and pubblic sectors, committed to produce landscapes and urban spaces.<\/p>\n

Global<\/em>\u00a0investigates, plans and develops projects within the scope of landscape architecture, including in its social subject the production of books and publications. The following stand out on a vast number of developed projects: Landscape for ‘Bairro da Malagueira’, in \u00c9vora; The Expo’98 precinct, in Lisbon; Landscape for Serralves Park, in Porto; The New Garden to Bel\u00e9m Palace, in Lisbon; The Camillo Tarello Park, in Brescia; Salinas Landscape Project, in Madeira; and the Ribeira das Naus Public Space in the Riverfront of the Pombaline Lower Town, in Lisbon. Amongst the most significant competitions the following are listed: in 2005, The Faculty of Sport Sciences and Physical Education in Coimbra, with In\u00eas Lobo, architects (1st place); in 2004, The ‘Casa da Escrita’ Garden in Coimbra, with Jo\u00e3o Mendes Ribeiro, architects (1st place); in 2003 The ‘Parc du Mas Nouglier’ in Montpellier, France (1st place); in 2000, The Camillo Tarello Park in Brescia, Italy, with Pellegrini and In\u00eas Lobo (1st place); Masterplan for the Aguieira Park in Viseu (1st place); in 1999, The Portuguese Embassy in Berlin, with In\u00eas Lobo (1st place); and in 1998 The New Garden to Bel\u00e9m Palace in Lisbon, with JLCG (1st place).
\nIn 2015 in co-autorship with Proap\/Jo\u00e3o Ferreira Nunes they completed the ambitious project of restoration of the pubblic space in Lisbon waterfront Ribeira das Naus.
\nThe work of Global\/Jo\u00e3o Gomes da Silva and Paulo David was the object of an exposition curated by Nuno Crespo at the Centro Cultural de Bel\u00e9m, named Paisagem como Arquitetura<\/em> ended in 2015.
\nGlobal is currently working on the new Lisbon Cruise Terminal witn JLCG Arquitectos\/Jo\u00e3o Lu\u00eds Carrilho da Gra\u00e7a, the Nova SBE\u2019s new campus in Carcavelos in Carcavelos, Portugal, and for the transformation of the 2nd Artillery Battery in the Lisbon-Set\u00fabal region into the first Urban Battery Park in Portugal.<\/p>\n
